offset printing | A printing process in which ink is applied to the surface of a cylindrical plate bearing an image of the type to be printed. The plate transfers the ink to a roller that in turn applies it to paper. See also letterpress printing. |

A very thin and translucent paper used during the age of typewriters for correspondence and carbon copies. Shown here are three A4 sheets of onionskin.
